The book I needed to write. I urge any writer who’s eager to elevate their work to its most refined, honest, and most raw form possible, to work with Tessa. She was more than an editor. She was a mentor, a guide, a teacher, a lamp illuminating the dark, lonely, often frightening paths of writing. Her guidance gave me the courage to approach my grittiest, most difficult truths with enthusiasm and hope rather than fear and anxiety. With kindness, compassion, and a keen eye for detail, she guided me through the toughest terrains of the page, helped me unearth the deepest layers of my writing in a way that always made me feel safe and free to put absolutely anything on the page. Her eye for detail is microscopic yet non judgmental—I could not have finished my book without her.” - Will https://www.tessafontaine.com/events-1 daily 0.75 2025-05-06 https://www.tessafontaine.com/storiesandessays daily 0.75 2025-09-03 https://www.tessafontaine.com/interviews-and-podcasts daily 0.75 2024-08-06 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/60cd198ed0ca337c05d88677/1630356474519-RO91ZTVG0WJVJPIO1Y1R/*+210702mc_tessa+fontaine+headshot_0153.jpg Interviews & Podcasts Photo credit: Max Cooper https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/60cd198ed0ca337c05d88677/1630442941101-S7ARZ0ROAXVDYBWSLIOX/Tessa+Coming+out+of+Sideshow+Tent%2C+Photo+Cred+Annie+Agnone.jpg Interviews & Podcasts Photo credit: Annie Agnone https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/60cd198ed0ca337c05d88677/b52ecf9f-12ad-4023-8edb-4d59281ce6f1/160919_TessaFontaine_156-2.jpg Interviews & Podcasts Photo credit: Claire Marika https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/60cd198ed0ca337c05d88677/1626022902260-K2IAKVU5UWY5Y49MY6KO/210702mc_tessa+fontaine+headshot_0199.jpg Interviews & Podcasts Photo credit: Max Cooper https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/60cd198ed0ca337c05d88677/1630442995641-GS7J7AA1ZEZCWLOYRO9K/electric_woman_tessa_fontaine.jpg Interviews & Podcasts https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/60cd198ed0ca337c05d88677/1630356553521-LGTQGW8MGDQMD26587UV/*+210702mc_tessa+fontaine+headshot_0315.jpg Interviews & Podcasts Photo credit: Max Cooper https://www.tessafontaine.com/accountability-workshops daily 0.75 2024-08-16 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/60cd198ed0ca337c05d88677/1651076880727-TJX439VHJGRDYLYGUUAC/*+210702mc_tessa+fontaine+headshot_0199.jpg Accountability Workshops https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/60cd198ed0ca337c05d88677/1651513775748-WASKJHMW0MXX3G0AAUBU/annie+hartnett+headshot+hr.jpg Accountability Workshops https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/60cd198ed0ca337c05d88677/a6575f09-348b-45ed-8ba9-95b8c0d80b88/Brown+Photo+travel+%28Flyer%29+%281%29.png https://www.tessafontaine.com/about-2 daily 0.75 2023-05-02 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/60cd198ed0ca337c05d88677/1626022902260-K2IAKVU5UWY5Y49MY6KO/210702mc_tessa+fontaine+headshot_0199.jpg About (Copy) Tessa lives, writes and teaches in Asheville, NC and is available for teaching and speaking engagements. https://www.tessafontaine.com/editorial-services daily 0.75 2023-09-27 https://www.tessafontaine.com/trg daily 0.75 2024-04-09 https://www.tessafontaine.com/tew daily 0.75 2024-04-09 https://www.tessafontaine.com/books/theredgrove daily 0.75 2026-01-05 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/60cd198ed0ca337c05d88677/3179aeb3-3845-410d-8387-9de64080225c/Book+Jacket+-+Red+Grove.jpg https://www.tessafontaine.com/books/theelectricwoman daily 0.75 2024-05-16 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/60cd198ed0ca337c05d88677/1626025820822-UBF7XNTK2198GNYYHX52/bannerline.jpg The Electric Woman - Praise "An assured debut that doesn’t shy away from the task of holding the ordinary and otherworldly in its hand, at once. It’s herein that the book’s power lies . . . Throughout this narrative is the story of [Fontaine's] relationship with her mother, a story that is sometimes its own hard-to-watch sideshow act. Fontaine is unafraid to write the ugliness ― the imperfect care and love ― that takes place between people, and the memoir is most 'electric' when it doesn’t shy from that imperfection . . . I’m stunned by the beauty of Fontaine’s rhythms and images." ―Rachel Khong, The New York Times Book Review https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/60cd198ed0ca337c05d88677/1626040152592-QPQCY5TM7S5MNR9M69D4/470922_567294449975837_1538249273_o.jpg The Electric Woman Tex Fontaine and Tommy the Talker, World of Wonders, 2013 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/60cd198ed0ca337c05d88677/1626040226502-A23YQ3OPCVXTDX8B1B1A/Tessa+coming+out+of+sideshow+tent.jpg The Electric Woman Tessa peeking out of sideshow tent.
